This oximeter is perfect for spot checks or continuous use without the need for a prescription. It accurately measures pulse rates within 3 pulses per minute. It displays oxygen saturation within 2 degrees for an accurate reading each time, and this unit will operate up to 40,000 feet above sea level, making it perfect for mountain climbing. The Health-Ox uses 2 AAA batteries to power for 30 hours of continuous operation. The oximeter's screen has 4 different display angles that make it easier to see your reading.

  I like to watch my saturation so I know when I have to go see my doctor. My level can drop to the upper 60's within 24 hours. I am unemployed like most baby boomers and no health insurance. I cannot afford a trip to the hospital. If I keep an eye on it, I can save myself lots of stress. I cannot afford one as I have no income. Price doesn't matter when you need the basic. Sometimes when you buy a more expensive one, you are paying for the name. If you just want to check saturation then this is the best for the price. I live in a RV so it's nice and portable.

  I made this purchase to take take the guess work out as a COPD sufferer. I know in seconds and can monitor to know if my oxygen levels are stable or dropping. Eliminated ALOT of ER visits.   I purchased this pulse/ox meter because I have severe inherited COPD. I use it a few times a day, just because I am curious as to what is going on. This little unit works just fine. When I am done I do take the batteries out of it, I think it will last longer that way.
